| Abstract: The market situation and price trend in China, the international potato trade, supply and demand and market situation were analyzed in an international view on the basis of reviewing the 2017 potato production. The planting area and yield of potato increased steadily, but the price was generally low. The international trade surplus and the deficit of the products were coexisting in China. The demand for the international potato products, especially the processed potatoes, had increased, and the market prospects were generally better. Finally, the situation of the potato market in China was prospected. In 2018, the domestic potato production and consumption kept increasing steadily in China, and the consumption power was insufficient. Therefore, the risk of price fluctuation increased, and related production and sales suggestions were presented to the possible market risk. |
